MUNICIÓN DE RACIMO PROHIBIDA POR DECISIÓN DEL CONSEJO DE MINISTROS DE ESPAÑA DE 11 DE JULIO DE 2.008, Y LA POSTERIOR FIRMA DEL TEXTO DE LA CONVENCIÓN DE OSLO EL 3 DE DICIEMBRE DE 2.008.
...

The MAT-120 cargo bomb is a Spanish producedcluster munition, fired from a 120mm calibre mortarproduced by Instalaza SA. The main body of the round holds dual-purpose anti-tank/anti-personnel submunitions. The MAT-120 submunitions are unique in that to prevent the dangers of unexploded duds, there is a double redundant feature the manufacture refers to asself-destruction and self-sterilization. This prevents unexploded MAT-120 submunitions laying around becoming defacto landmines, dangerous to both combatants and non-combatants. [1]

Expal BME 330 AT Cluster Bomb (Spain),
Bombs - Cluster and dispenser munitions
Type
Cluster bomb, anti-armour.
Development
The BME 330 AT (anti-tank) bomb is one of a family of three air-launched cluster bombs that has been developed by Expal for use by the Spanish Air Force and for export purposes. The other two are the BME 330 AR (anti-runway) bomb and the BME 330 C (multipurpose) bomb. The figures 330 in the designation refer to the nominal weight of the cluster bomb in kilogrammes. The complete cluster bomb is designed to withstand the high g forces encountered by combat manoeuvres of high-speed attack aircraft, and to be used in anti-tank operations. The development is believed to have taken place in the mid-1980s and unlike most other cluster bombs of this era the BME 330 series has been designed to use a retarding parachute system to aid delivery of the bomb and distribution of the bomblets. The container section of the bomb is designed with an internal removable frame assembly that holds 516 submunitions/bomblets. These are a mixture of 512 armour-piercing bomblets designated SAC-1 AP and four electronic anti-tank mines designated MAC-2. The BME 330 design allows them to be carried under wings or fuselage of high-speed aircraft with minimum performance degradation, and like other Spanish-manufactured bombs that are offered for export, they are designed to be fitted with a choice of NATO or Russian spaced suspension lugs. It is believed that the BME 330 AT bomb will have been cleared for carriage on the AV-8 Matador, EAV-8B Harrier II, A-9 (F-5 Freedom Fighter), EF-18 Hornet ..
